About This Product

The spreader is used in microbiology, biology and biotechnology practicals. After the sample is added to the agar plate as instructed by the teacher, the spreader is held gently by the handle and its L-shaped end is moved smoothly over the agar to distribute the sample evenly; pressing too hard can damage the agar. The plate is then covered straight away as instructed to reduce contamination.
